Kent Libraries looking to make savings

Kent Libraries Service is looking to make savings in their budget across the County in the next two years. Initial discussions have been held with representatives of the Kent Library Service over the future of Coxheath Library. There are no plans to close or diminish the services of the library but a dialogue will now begin as to how more use could be made of what is a valuable community asset. The Parish Council has suggested that the most realistic of the possibilities being considered is to generate more income by making more use of the building when the library is not open.

The following is a statement by the Libraries Service which we have agreed to put on the website and in the Village News:-
