Coxheath Primary School has been happy to serve this thriving village for over 40 years. The school has close links with the local pre-school, secondary schools and Holy Trinity Church and also works collaboratively with the other 30 schools in its partnership.
Pupils enjoy their school and this fact is reflected in their good attendance and behaviour. They are enthusiastic about learning and enjoy attending the extra-curricular activities that the school provides: including gardening, French, sewing and drama.
The school is lucky to have a large grassy site with a wild life area and community garden. The school provides facilities for the local football club at the weekends and Pilates, dance and karate classes during the week.
Coxheath Primary School has also been fortunate enough to achieve a number of national awards including 'Artsmark Silver', Healthy Schools Status and Active Mark. It is now working towards a Quality in Extended Services Award in recognition of its work to provide additional support to the families it serves.
The school has very active and supportive parents and carers, who contribute fully to the life of the school by helping in class, attending special activities and assemblies and participating in fund raising events.
The Parent Teacher and Friends Association work hard to raise funds for the school and provide activities for the families. They hold regular events such as children's discos, pamper evenings and a summer fun day to which the community is invited. The PTFA also hold more unusual events such as a very successful circus and a fashion show. The monthly coffee mornings are popular with parents and friends alike.
